Coming off a 2008 2-6 Big XII record, the Kansas Wildcats looked to get back on track and hired former Wildcats Head Coach Bill Snyder who between 136-68-1 record in between 1988 and 2005.

After beating Massachusetts at home 21-17, the team went through a 2-game losing skid before bouncing back against Tennessee Tech 49-7. Following a victory over Iowa State, the Wildcats took a 66-14 pounding at the hands of Texas Tech. The following week, the Wildcats took out that loss on Texas A&M, pounding the Ag’s 62-14 followed up by a 20-6 victory over Colorado.

In the Sunflower Showdown, (Kansas State Vs Kansas) State squeaked out a 7 point win in front of nearly 50,000 people. The Wildcats would end up losing the final two games of the season against Missouri and #25 Nebraska.

In the off season, Coach Snyder began working on 2010 team and signed three top prospects to his squad. RB DeMarcus Robinson is compared to RB Darren Sproles with his quickness and ability to make sharp cuts. WR Brodrick Smith a big 6’3” transfer from Minnesota will play again for the Wildcats and DE Adam Davis is the highest rated of all the K State signees. At Hutchins Community College, Davis recorded 23-sacks over two seasons and was a 2nd team NJCAA All-American.
